2019-20 OPP Management Committee membership finalized with additional appointments
Miko Enomoto, M.D., associate professor of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine, (pictured, on the left) has been elected to a two-year term on the OHSU Practice Plan Board of Directors and OPP Management Committee as a result of the 2019 at-large member election. She replaces Norm Cohen, M.D., professor of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine, whose term expired at the end of June.
Dr. Enomoto and Alex Nydahl, M.P.A.S. ’15, PA-C, instructor of medicine, fill the two elected, at-large seats of the OPP Management Committee.
Two sitting members of the board are elected for two-year terms on the Management Committee. This year, the board elected Jennifer DeVoe, M.D., Ph.D., and George Keepers, (pictured background, left) M.D.,professors and chairs of family medicine and psychiatry, respectively,as board members on the Management Committee.
Sharon Anderson, M.D.,dean of the OHSU School of Medicine and chair of the OPP Board of Directors, (pictured, left and, above, foreground) made several appointments to the Management Committee: Donna Hansel, M.D., Ph.D., (pictured above, background) and Ken Azarow, M.D., professors and chairs of pathology and surgery, respectively, will both serve one-year terms as appointed Board members.
Jessica Flynn, M.D., associate professor of family medicine, was re-appointed as one of two at-large members. Joseph Ahn, M.D., associate professor of medicine, (pictured on the right) is also joining the Management Committee as the other at-large member.
The Management Committee also includes key leaders in the clinical enterprise. John Hunter, M.D., continues his service in his role as CEO of OHSU Health System.
Mary Tanski, M.D., M.B.A., associate professor and, as of July 8, interim chair of emergency medicine, is incoming chair of the Physician Advisory Council (an advisory group of junior and mid-career OHSU physicians who address operational issues and advise leaders on clinical integration) and as such will be a member of the board and Management Committee. Dr. Tanski also replaces outgoing Emergency Medicine Chair John Ma on the OPP Board. Dan Herzig, M.D., associate professor of surgery, is the chair-elect of the Physician Advisory Council.
Ex-officio, non-voting members of the Management Committee include Anthony Masciotra, M.B.A., CEO of the OPP; senior associate dean for clinical practice, (pictured, right) Mike Bonazzola, M.D., CMO of the OPP, Nathan Selden, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chair of neurological surgery, per his role as chair of the OHSU Professional Board, and Joe Hardman, M.D., associate professor of medicine, per his role as chief medical officer of Tuality Healthcare.
The OPP Board is charged with providing ongoing oversight of OPP activities; the Management Committee is defined as a subset of the board overseeing all aspects of the OPP operations, including financial performance, clinical metrics, regulatory compliance, strategic direction as well as oversight of the leadership team charged with day-to-day operations.
