Dear New York Health Care Family,
It is difficult to find the words to express the deep respect and admiration for the incredible work you have been doing during this crisis. We have been watching from a distance how day after day you show up for your patients and for one another in a situation that takes real nerve to endure. You are an inspiration to all of us.
We want you to know that you are not alone. Take heart and understand that your brothers and sisters in health care are with you. We think about you every day and send you encouragement to continue facing the unimaginable.
You serve your communities like warriors while facing a number of adverse circumstances. You are true heroes. We can only hope to have the level of stamina and heart that you have shown when we are asked to show up in this way.
Please take whatever time you can to care for yourselves. The work you have done has made a difference in so many lives.
You continue to learn and you continue to conquer, but most of all, as a New York Health Care Worker, you continue to make the rest of us proud. We thank you for everything that you have endured and have taught us so that we can be better prepared. We are grateful for all of you.
Be well,
OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University), Patient Experience Division
