BRAINet
The Brain Research Awareness and Information Network (BRAINet) is the volunteer outreach organization of the OHSU Brain Institute (OBI). BRAINet's mission is to foster awareness and support for OBI and for neuroscience research by educating the public and engaging in community interaction.
BRAINet Monthly Online Lectures
The flagship outreach component of BRAINet is a monthly online lecture with a neuroscience researcher or clinician from OHSU. These events happen the third Monday of every month 12 noon - 1 p.m., unless there is a conflict with a holiday. These online lectures are free and all are welcome to attend.
Donations to BRAINet are now primarily in support of an annual BRAINet Travel Grant Program. More information about this program can be found below under Membership Benefits.

BRAINet Membership Benefits
BRAINet provides you the opportunity to connect with and promote OHSU neuroscience. In our new online world, donations are now primarily used to support our annual BRAINet Travel Grant Program.
The Travel Grant Program was established to support one neuroscience graduate student and one neuroscience postdoctoral scholar to attend the annual Society for Neuroscience international meeting with a scholarship of $1,000 each. The SfN meeting is an important professional event for neuroscientists to attend in order to share cutting-edge research and network with colleagues from around the world.
The BRAINet board uses a robust metric created by other grant programs at OHSU to objectively evaluate the applications based on need and research goals.
Your donations will now directly support the up-and-coming neuroscientists from OHSU in their career journey. Donations are made to BRAINet's fund with the OHSU Foundation, and contributions over $25 are tax deductible. Thank you for your support!
