Henry Stewart Talks Launches New Interface

The interface for finding online seminars from leading biomedical experts within the Henry Stewart Talks collection has been redesigned to make it easier to quickly find relevant audio visual presentations by leading authorities, including Nobel Laureates and OHSU faculty.

The collection is relevant to all faculty, researchers and students in medicine, biomedical and life sciences and pharmacy.  It provides access to over 1,500 specially commissioned talks in the format of slides with synchronized narration, arranged into comprehensive series. The talks are ideal for independent research and for teaching, including distance learning.

Featured lectures from OHSU faculty include:

Prof. Brian Druker
Imatinib as a Paradigm of Targeted Cancer Therapies (38 mins)

Series: Signal Transduction via Protein Tyrosine Kinase Receptors

Prof. David Barker
The Developmental Origins of Obesity (29 mins)

Series: Obesity

Since each talk has a unique URL, faculty can incorporate the talks into a teaching environment like Sakai.  Students appreciate the visual format of the talks and the opportunity to attend lectures by leading world experts 24/7.
