Mark your calendars: April 2019 is Humanities Month at OHSU!
For the last several years, the OHSU Library has sponsored an annual poetry contest. Two years ago, we added a poetry recognition event in April in honor of National Poetry Month. At that event, OHSU poets were invited to come read their work in front of an audience. This year, we’re expanding our humanities programming even further and sponsoring Humanities Month!
During Humanities Month, the OHSU Library will again sponsor a poetry contest, but we’ve added a contest for creative nonfiction, art and photography, and even film. We will also have lectures from Patrick Bowden, M.M.S., P.A.-C., Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Education, and a History of Medicine lecture from Dr. Christi Hancock.
Go to the Humanities Month webpage for a list of Humanities Month activities and links to the submission guidelines for all of the contests. The submission deadline is March 1st, 2019.
OHSU Library is excited to promote the creative talents of the OHSU community and to facilitate opportunities for people to share those talents with others.
