New Resource Alert: Podcasting and Field Recording Kits

Increasingly, students, educators and researchers are experimenting with podcasting to advance learning or as a scientific communication and storytelling tool. The OHSU Library now has two podcasting kits that OHSU community members can can borrow for up to 7 days. You can use the kits to create podcasts, record field interviews, or just experiment with sound!

Both kits include a carrying case, Zoom H6 portable recorder, and Senal SMH-1000 headphones. The Studio Kit is ideal for simple podcasting set-ups, while the Field Recording Kit is great for live location recordings, but both are appropriate for a wide range of audio recording uses.

OHSU community members with and network ID and password can reserve the kits online and pick them up at the Library’s service desk in the BICC. The podcasting kits are part of the Library’s growing technology and equipment lending collection, which also includes GoPro cameras and a green screen.
