We Stand in Solidarity with #ShutDownSTEM

The OHSU Library stands in solidarity with #ShutDownSTEM and Strike for Black Lives. On Wednesday, June 10 we are cancelling or re-purposing staff meetings to share and learn about resources that can help us center Black lives and work to address and dismantle white supremacy in ourselves, our organization, and our broader communities. This engagement will serve as the basis for further personal and organizational anti-racist learning, discussion, and actions.

While the Library’s services will remain available, we support the full participation of our staff members in the actions laid out by #ShutdownSTEM and Strike for Black Lives.

In addition to the resources curated on the sites linked above, we would like to highlight the list of resources and learning plans that the Alliance for Visible Diversity in Science (AVDS) compiled to facilitate personal reflection and group discussions.

This is ongoing, iterative work, and we are committed to making actionable plans in support of Black lives. We invite our collaborators and communities into our work towards transforming our organization and our world.
