I suggest an auditory book, “Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning” by P. Brown, H. Roediger, M. McDaniel, 2014, Harvard Press. The library has the electronic book, but the auditory one would be helpful for busy students. Thanks for considering!

Thank you for reaching out.  We agree that downloadable audio works well for busy OHSU members.  Unfortunately, the only audio option is an MP3 CD which requires a disk drive to listen which is not ideal.  We are inquiring with the publisher about whether there might be other options or whether they might consider them in the future.

In the meantime, there is the option of using your device’s text-to-speech functions. Text-to-speech has come a long way, but it still far from human speech. For example, the prosody (stress and intonation) within a sentence is tolerable, but prosody across sentences can make it hard to understand long complex ideas in more technical materials.  Here are links to how some common platforms enable Text-to-speech:
