Associate Professor and Director of Education, Research and Clinical Outreach, OHSU Library, Robin Champieux has been appointed as Interim University Librarian to succeed Dr. Kris Alpi who leaves OHSU on June 30, 2022.
We are pleased to announce that Robin Champieux has agreed to serve as Interim University Librarian while incoming Provost Chisholm-Burns and Executive Vice Provost David Robinson undertake a national search to find a University Librarian who will serve in a permanent capacity.
Champieux received her B.A. degree in anthropology from Wayne State University in Michigan in 2000, and her Master of Library and Information Science and Certificate in Archival Administration from the same institution in 2004. In 2014, she completed the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians, and was a National Library of Medicine and Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries leadership fellow.
Champieux joined OHSU in 2011 as a Scholarly Communication Librarian. She has served in a number of roles at OHSU Library, including Research Engagement and Open Science Librarian from October 2017 to January 2019, and Director of Digital Scholarship and Research Engagement from January 2019 to May 2020. Since January 2019, she has served as Director of Education, Research and Clinical Outreach, initially commencing in an interim capacity.
In terms of research and scholarly interest, Champieux is passionate about understanding and advancing the inclusive creation, reproducibility, accessibility, and impact of knowledge, especially through library and librarian expertise and contributions.
