In honor of Open Education Week 2023, OHSU Library is excited to announce the launch of our new Open Educational Resources guide! This guide is a jumping-off point for learning more about Open Educational Resources, or OER, and how they might benefit your course and learners.
Research has shown that increasingly high traditional textbook prices are having an impact on student learning, with many students delaying or completely foregoing purchase due to cost. OERs offer an opportunity to provide adaptable, high-quality course materials that are free or low cost. Learn more about OERs, why they are important, and how to find and use them in our new guide.
This guide was developed by the OHSU Library OER Task Force: Rachael Davis, Brandon Wilkinson, and Carin Yavorcik. If you’d like to talk about OERs with an OHSU Librarian, contact us or schedule an appointment.
