Monday, April 17: NIH Webinar on Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) Scientific Data

The new NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy is intended to facilitate the creation and sharing of Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) scientific data. So, why go FAIR? The NIH Office of Data Science Strategy is providing a no-cost interactive webinar on April 17, 2023, from 11AM-12PM EST that will help you better understand FAIR and the impact it might have on your work.

The session will focus on FAIR implementation and how the principles were created to aid in the reuse of data. After completion, participants will:

  • Be familiar with implementing FAIR in their own work
  • Increase awareness of trends that are making data more machine actionable
  • Recognize the advances of FAIR as a researcher and for other stakeholders

Speaker bios and registration are currently available. In June, a two day workshop will focus on making metadata FAIR.

OHSU Librarians are also available to help you navigate and implement FAIR data practices and the new NIH policy. Learn more from our NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy guide.
