The Oregon Healthy WorkForce First Annual Summer Institute on Occupational Health Psychology (OHP) is beginning today. The Summer Institute was developed by Dr. Leslie Hammer of Portland State University where she leads the Occupational Health Psychology program and heads a training program grant in OHP.
Speakers are describing the origins, research intervention, and practice of OHP.
Monday’s speakers come from:
• Cincinnati – Dr. Joe Hurrell (recently of NIOSH and currently Editor of the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology)
• Boston – Dr. Emily Huang (of the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety)
• Seattle – Dr. Nan Yragui (early graduate of Portland State University’s PhD program in Occupational Health Psychology and currently at the State of Washington’s SHARP program)
• Portland – Dr. David Cadiz (of the Oregon Nurse’s Foundation)
The Institute is being held at Portland State University’s Smith Memorial Union. Registration ended on July 1. Pictured below is Dr. Leslie Hammer opening the Institute.
