Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences Director, Steven Shea, has been awarded the 2018 Faculty Senate Leadership Award, which was presented during the annual Distinguished Faculty Awards Ceremony, May 8. The Leadership Award recognizes an OHSU faculty member who leads by example and demonstrates substantial contributions towards achieving the missions of the university. Dr. Shea, who has served as President of the American Sleep Medicine Foundation, is well recognized as a leader in sleep research, particularly on the recognition of sleep as an important determinant of health.
