We are pleased to support and promote an upcoming, first ever, Spanish-language safety conference provided by Oregon OSHA. Certainly, over the years Oregon OSHA has provided conferences with dual English and Spanish language classes. This, however, is a first in which all of the content will be in Spanish. The conference topics will include asserting workers’ rights to a safe workplace, protecting health and safety at work and at home, and protecting against wage theft. The event will be held all day (from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem. This no-cost for attendees event will feature lunch, exhibits, and health screenings by Virginia Garcia. Our Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences and the Oregon Healthy Workforce Center is honored to support this event, and attend as an exhibitor, supported by our native Spanish speaking staff and faculty.
