National Farm Safety and Health Week 2020

Farm and agriculture safety education

It’s National Farm Safety & Health Week 2020, put on by The National Education Center for Agricultural Safety and AgriSafe. They are offering free, educational webinars in a variety of topics all week. They will also be available to review for a limited time afterwards.

Agriculturally-related fatalities are unfortunately common:  Oregon Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation Program (OR-FACE) recorded 172 fatalities between 2008 and 2018 in the agriculture industry. The most common event category was “contact with objects & equipment,” and the second was transportation.
