We were pleased so many of you attended our first COVID-19 Conversation held earlier this week via WebEx. Although we did experience a few technical mishaps associated with this first pilot, we are pleased with the quality and relevance of the information shared and with the number of people who tuned in. Based on the feedback we have received, at this time we plan to repeat the series every two weeks, targeting the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 9:00 – 9:20 AM PST for the discussion followed by 10 minutes to answer questions as submitted through chat. Our targeted audience includes occupational health nurses, industrial hygienists and safety professionals based in Oregon and Washington, although others are welcome to attend. We plan to rotate occupational health (nursing/physician) speakers with those who are safety and health managers and leaders, and are actively seeking recommendations for both moderators and speakers. Thank you to Kate Wood, representing the Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses for moderating, and Joel Michels, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Health and Well-being Program Manager, City of Portland for sharing experiences and tips in this first conversation.
If you missed this first event, you can watch it below or on YouTube. Please note that we will improve our next recording so you can more clearly see the presenters rather than the grid of observers (and we will silence the doorbell!). Thanks for your patience.
