2022 Safe+Sound West Coast Challenge

Looking for an incentive to strengthen your organization’s safety program? Now you have an opportunity to do just that while also joining other Oregon businesses in a friendly West Coast Challenge as invited by our partners at Oregon OSHA, Washington Labor and Industries and California OSHA. And really, though we are based in Oregon, we encourage all employers everywhere to put their organizations forward in Safe + Sound Week, this year recognized August 15-21, 2022.

Listen to our friends Holt Andron, Consultation Manager, Oregon OSHA; Joel Sacks, Director, Washington Department of Labor and Industries; and Jeff Killip, Chief, California OSHA.

You might wonder what this is all about? Safe + Sound is a year-round campaign sponsored and endorsed by many leading safety organizations including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to encourage every workplace to have a safety and health program.

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America’s workers safe.

Why Participate?
Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line. Participating in Safe + Sound Week can help get your program started, energize an existing one, or provide a chance to recognize your safety successes.

Who Participates?
All organizations looking for an opportunity to recognize their commitment to safety are welcome to participate. Last year, more than 5,300 businesses helped to raise awareness about workers’ health and safety!
