About
Welcome to the Occupational Health Sciences blog. The Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences is comprised of about 75 scientists, practitioners, and science-based staff who are working to improve the health, safety and wellness of the workforce in Oregon and beyond.
Purpose of our blog – The purpose of this blog is to increase our engagement with our stakeholders throughout Oregon, and beyond. Our stakeholders are all workers and employers in Oregon and the organizations that support them. More specifically, we solicit feedback about our activities that we will describe as it is occurring rather than periodically in our website, newsletters or annual report (which you can get by clicking here). The blog will allow us to describe our activities weekly or daily if warranted, and get your rapid feedback if you feel moved to comment. We will also discuss things that are happening in workplaces that relate to safety, health and wellness and hope that you will chime in!
