OHSU Gene Therapy Working Group Symposium, Nov. 28

The OHSU Gene Therapy Working Group and the Rare Disorders Research Consortium invite you to attend an afternoon event to showcase OHSU’s Gene Therapy research excellence.

“The Resurgent Promise of Gene Therapy”
Wednesday, November 28, 2012
2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Joseph Vey Conference Center

Featuring “Genetic Manipulation of Stem Cells” by keynote speaker David W. Russell, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the Division of Hematology and investigator and Markey Molecular Medicine Center at University of Washington, Seattle.

Gene therapy is finally enjoying success in many clinical trials around the world. Here at OHSU, we have several laboratories doing excellent research in this area, but our efforts are dispersed and could benefit from more integration. In order to build and enhance our Gene Therapy Community we are holding a half-day symposium that includes:

  • Keynote address by President Elect of the American Society for Cell and Gene Therapy
  • Research vignettes from OHSU gene therapy leaders
  • Poster session and reception with wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres

Register for the symposium or reserve a spot in the poster session.

Poster presenter deadline is Wednesday, November 14th. Please share information about this event with trainees and other members of your research group and collaborators.  We welcome both faculty and trainee posters!

This event is sponsored by the Department of Pediatrics and the Papé Family Pediatric Research Institute. Have questions or need more information? Contact Jaret Herter or Leslie Lublink.
