The OHSU Partnership for Scientific Inquiry (PSI) is a successful science outreach program which attracts bright and talented high school students who have a keen interest in science and medicine. The program is currently seeking research faculty and post-doc mentors.
Mentors will attend one class at OHSU to give a brief presentation to the students and then meet periodically with an assigned student to help them read a peer-reviewed article and prepare a research proposal. The class meets throughout the second semester and begins Monday, Feb. 3. Most mentors will also host their student in the summer, involving them in research. However, providing a summer research experience is optional.
