Three Minute Thesis Competition

Watch graduate students attempt to explain their dissertation research in 180 seconds or less at OHSU’s 2nd Annual Three Minute Thesis Competition. 3MT® is an academic competition developed by the University of Queensland, Australia. The exercise was designed to develop academic, presentation, and communication skills as students explain their research in three minutes in a language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience. Participants will be judged on communication style, comprehension, and audience engagement. Finalists will compete in the statewide competition on Saturday, May 17 at 3 p.m. at Portland State University.
