Construction on the Radiochemistry Research Center starts to wrap up

Construction on the Center for Radiochemistry Research is scheduled to be completed around the end of May. The final stages of construction, including the delivery of laboratory instruments and the installation of an exhaust shaft, will be happening over the next couple of months.

You’ll see scaffolding on the side of the MRB as the exhaust shaft is installed, during which time employees in MRB may see workers outside their windows and hear a little noise. However, pre-testing showed no detectable levels of vibration in labs. The majority of the work will be done March 21-22.
