Mock Study Section: A look into the NIH grant review process

OHSU Research Week 2018

The Mock NIH Study Section is a chance to see how grants are evaluated and discussed through the National Institutes of Health review process — and provide insight into improving your own grantsmanship.

Wednesday, May 2, 12 to 1:30 p.m.
OHSU Auditorium

This Research Week event features Cynthia Morris, Ph.D., M.P.H., and Leslie Myatt, Ph.D., who will lead the review of NIH K23 career development and R01 applications with a panel of other OHSU faculty acting as reviewers.

This is a participatory event. The audience will be asked to score the applications with results displaying in real time. Handouts including the specific aims and career development plan will be available at the event. In preparation for the Mock Study Section, you may want to browse through NIH review materials, including critique templates, grants process overview and NIH scoring table.

Faculty participants are Cynthia Morris, Leslie Myatt, Mary Samuels, Cheryl Maslen, Mary Heinricher, Robert Duvoisin, Shannon McWeeney and Susan Ingram.

The Mock Study Section is sponsored by the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute.
