Medical Research Foundation grant submission guidelines updated

In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic and the complications it has caused for researchers, the Medical Research Foundation has decided to update its submission guidelines for its upcoming cycle of funding. These updates apply to the Spring 2020 cycles of the New Investigator Grant, Early Clinical Investigator Grant and Emergency Interim Funding/Presidential Bridge Funding.

Applicants now have up to two weeks after the initial April 15 deadline to submit revisions to applications to all MRF competitions. This includes OPAM approvals that couldn’t be obtained by April 15. Applications in their final version must be submitted by April 29, 2020, 5 p.m. PDT.

To be considered for funding, applicants must still submit a draft application, if not a final, to the Competitive Application Portal by April 15, 2020, 11:59 p.m. PDT. Applicants must also answer all administrative questions provided in the CAP’s application page by April 15. Additionally, chair and mentor letters required for these competitions will still be due on April 22.

Any revised applications should be sent as a single PDF to MRFsubmit@ohsu.edu by April 29. Revised applications submitted after the initial April 15 deadline will be added to the CAP manually and replace the applicant’s draft application.

Questions about these new guidelines can be sent to MRFsubmit@ohsu.edu and questions about the CAP application can be sent to funding@ohsu.edu.
