The OCTRI Biomedical Innovation Program is accepting applications for its Drug Discovery program.
The program supports interdisciplinary drug discovery and therapeutic development research at OHSU. Proposals should cover topics including, but not limited to, development and validation of drug targets, screening platforms, small molecules, antibodies, vaccines and biologics.
Who is eligible?
All employees and students of OHSU are eligible, with these caveats:
- If you plan to involve human subjects or animals in your research, you must meet OHSU Principal Investigator requirements
- If you do not have a faculty appointment, you must submit written approval from your supervisor or department head authorizing your effort, including the specific amount of effort, on the grant
What does the award fund?
The goal of BIP Drug Discovery is to move drug discovery projects toward commercialization. Awardees are assigned a project manager and a mentor to help get their projects to this point.
How much is the award?
Awardees will receive a maximum of $60,000 in funding. Funds are typically awarded for one year of research.
How do I apply?
Applicants should first submit a Technology Disclosure Form to OHSU Technology Transfer if they haven’t previously submitted one. Applicants should then submit their proposals through REDcap by May 28, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. View the RFA for full application instructions, and contact Jonathan Jubera with questions about the program.
