OCTRI KL2 Program: RFA Extended – Apply by August 20

The OCTRI Education Program is accepting applications for an NIH/NCATS-funded KL2 mentored career development award.

All research proposed for this program must involve human subjects or populations or directly apply to human health. The awardee is expected to apply for an independent career development award such as a K23, K08 or VA CDA or an independent grant such as an R01 or equivalent at the end of their award.

Who is eligible?

  • You must be a current of pending full-time faculty member at OHSU, PSU, UO, or OSU.
  • You cannot have been a principle investigator on any NIH grant except an R03 or an R21
  • You must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident

What does the award fund?

The KL2 award is a career development award and KL2 scholars, their mentors and their department chairs must gaurantee that at least 75 percent of their efforts will be spent researching and training. All research will be mentored and research training, such as the Human Investigations Program at OHSU, is encouraged.

How much is the award?

The awardee will receive a maximum of $75,000 per year in salary support plus OPE for up to two years. The awardee will also recieve $25,000 per year for research and travel funding.
