The OHSU Neuroscience Postbaccalaureate Initiative provides qualified scholars a paid, year-long in-depth research experience in laboratories that match their interests.

Application period is Jan. 1-March 1, 2021
The Postbac Initiative 2021 application period is approaching soon. The online application will be available Jan. 1 on ohsu.edu/neuro-postbac. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2021 for the program beginning in July.
Eligible scholars are recent graduates from a four-year college who identify as an individual from an NIH underrepresented group and are interested in obtaining a graduate degree in a neuroscience-related field. A full-year commitment required. See the complete details under “Who should apply?”
Paid, mentored research experiences increase diversity in sciences.
In addition to in-depth laboratory research experience, scholars’ receive a competitive research assistant salary and health benefits and preparation for graduate program application and success. This includes mentored support, skill-building sessions, and strong letters of recommendation provided by their research mentor and the OHSU graduate program director.
