Neurology Brain Research Foundation Scientific Innovations Award
What: 
Supports basic and clinical neuroscience projects that are too innovative and speculative for traditional funding sources but have a high likelihood of producing important findings in a short time frame
Who should apply: Full-time associate professors or full professors who are studying brain function and have had major NIH or other peer-reviewed funding at least in the last three years

Award: $150,000/two years

What: 
Funding to leverage new the REDCap functionality MyCap to create mobile apps that allow clinical study participants to report outcomes/data via a smartphone; the program aims to help fill the pipeline for BIP Digital Health by allowing PIs to conduct preliminary research and obtain user experience data

What: Program to support multidisciplinary research training for postdocs and graduate students in a range of disciplines including cell and molecular biology, whole organ pathophysiology, human based research and epidemiological research

Multidisciplinary  Science & PINS Prize for Neuromodulation
What: Honors innovative research that modulates neural activity through physical (electrical, magnetic, optical) stimulation of targeted sites in the nervous system with implications for translational medicine
Who should apply: Investigators who are younger than 45, received their degree in the last 10 years and submitting work that was performed in the last three years
Award: $25,000

Basic and physician-scientists who received their degrees no more than 21 months prior to the deadline; physician-scientists must have completed their residencies and clinical training, must be board eligible in the United States and be able to devote at least 80 percent of their time to the project

What: Funding to encourage the development of medical research in child health by awarding small grants to new researchers and helping them gain a foothold, with the goal of funding  applicants who will go on to be independent investigators

Postdocs within three years of their degree and physicians who are in a residency/fellowship training program or are within a year of their program completion; both must have a mentor
Award: Up to $25,000/up to two years

Cancer Sontag Foundation Distinguished Scientist Award
What: Provides career and research support to early career scientists who demonstrate promise for making breakthroughs in the brain cancer research field
Who should apply:
Researchers with a doctorate in a field that the Foundation determines applicable to brain cancer who received their first independent faculty appointment no earlier than March 1, 2016 and no later than January 1, 2021 and are tenure-track
Award: $600,000/four years

Neurology Simons Foundation/SFARI Research Match Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity
What: Aims to address historic disparities in research participation by Black or African American individuals by soliciting studies on autism that recruit Black or African American participants
