Essentials of Grant Administration provides a comprehensive overview of grant administration at OHSU from the very first steps of finding funding all the way to publishing and close-out. A number of topic experts help paint the big picture of grant administration in this course.

- Just-in-time requests.
- Research Integrity compliance and approvals.
- NIH policy & Uniform Guidance.
- OPAM forms, reporting requirements, and close-out.
- Public access and publishing.

This class reviews key components of the RATE Effort Certification and RATE DHHS Salary Cap courses. It also provides Department Effort Coordinators the opportunity to consult with the Institutional Effort Coordinator for issues specific to their effort statements.
Who should attend?
- Department Effort Coordinators (DECs)
- Any Department Administrators who work closely with DECs to accurately report effort and get it certified.
- Especially for DECs who have issues or questions about their effort statements.
How will you benefit?
- Identify your role and responsibilities for this process.
- Gain understanding of the DHHS salary cap, one of the more complicated aspects of effort certification.
- Become familiar with the tools and resources necessary to stay in compliance with this requirement.
- Confirm that your department’s certifications will be approved the first time they’re submitted.
