Dorian Scull
Dorian grew up in Louisiana and Virginia, before moving to Colorado in 2001 to pursue their dream of being a professional snowboard bum. After 3 years of living the dream, they moved to Portland, OR. The collectively forward thinking mindset of Portlanders, in addition to quick access to some of the country's most beautiful mountain ranges and coastline is what has inspired Dorian to call Portland home and establish a solid set of roots.
Prior to starting what Dorian is sure is the best PA program in the country, they worked as home health aid as well as a scribe and medical assistant at a dermatology clinic. They also volunteered with LGBT seniors and at a local hospital for several years. It was these experiences that made Dorian sure that pursuing a career as a PA was the right decision.
Dorian is beyond excited to use the knowledge and skills that they are gaining in OHSU's PA program to give back to their community. After graduation, they would love to work with the transgender community, either in a primary or specialty care setting.
When they are not busy studying, Dorian likes to build furniture, ride their bike, and go backpacking/camping with their wife, Rosalynn and dog, Juno. So far there hasn't been much time for either of these activities, but that is the life of a PA student!
